At teams it is important to make your contract. Over-tricks are not nearly as important as in matchpoint pairs. On the lead declarer can see 8 top tricks; 4 clubs, 1 diamond and 3 hearts. The suit to attack is spades as you must come to a spade trick however the suit is distributed. Attacking diamonds in the pursuit of overtricks leads to failure to make the contract as none of declarer's finesses work.
